Multi-Currency Wallet
A Multi-Currency Wallet is the foundation for managing money in Paisr. Multi-Currency Wallets or MCWs are linked to your profile and act as the parent for other financial tools such as: Virtual Balances, Connected Accounts, Payment Links etc.
Set up your wallet
In order to start moving money with Paisr, you'll need to setup your Paisr Wallet. This can easily be done via the Dashboard or by using the Wallets API.
For personal and base business profiles, you can only have one active wallet. Enterprise businesses can have unlimited wallets.
Navigate to the Wallets section in your Dashboard and click on + New to create your Paisr Wallet. Once you've been redirected to your new Wallet, you can start creating balances, connect bank accounts and manage your wallet preferences.
Desktop Tip
Close the sidebar and use the Wallet Dock to navigate.
Managing your wallet
You can manage your wallet settings from the Hub section in your Wallet dashboard.
Your wallet preferences are used to identify your wallet on the dashboard. You can add a friendly display name and icon for better recognition.
This is your wallet's public nickname. Whenever someone adds you as a contact, this name will be displayed.
One of the key elements of every Paisr Wallet is the Wallet Tag. This 6-48 character combination uniquely identifies your wallet to others on the plaform and makes it easy for them to send you money without having to know your full account details.
Set it to public so others on Paisr can add you as a contact, by default it's set to private.
If your wallet has already been added as a contact by another user, you can still receive money from them even if your tag is set to private.
Your wallet PIN is a 4-digit code that's used to approve payments from your wallet. You can view and rotate your PIN by visiting your wallet hub.
At the moment, we don't support custom PIN codes.
Each wallet has pre-defined limits. Your wallet limits are determind based on your use-case and level of approval. The following type of transactions effect your usage:
- Deposits made into your wallet (excluding settlement payouts)
- Transfers to other wallets
- Withdrawals made from your wallet
These limits are not tied to any specific currency—instead, they apply to the total value of transfers made from your wallet, regardless of which currencies you're using.
- Personal wallets can send up to 5,000 per week
- Business wallets can send up to 25,000 per week
You can request an increase to your limits by contacting compliance@paisr.tech.
Contacts
You can add people, businesses you know or frequently send money to as a contact by visiting the Contacts section in your Wallet. This makes it easier for you to send them money in the future.
Statements
Statements are monthly reports on the transactions performed by your wallet. You can download your statements by visiting the Statements section in your Wallet Hub.
